Line and Jakub. A girl from Belgium and a boy from Czech who met in Leuven, Belgium during Jakub’s studies. And because the love is the most powerful movement on the planet, it happened that Jakub left the Czech Republic and found a new home in Belgium.
We met for the first time for their pre-wedding (clikc to see more) session in February and since that time I knew this wedding will be full of love and emotions. All this came true during the ceremony in Ledeburska Garden in Prague, Czech. The ceremony took an hour which is not typical for a Czech weddings, but what is the absolute standard for example for Dutch weddings. During the ceremony there was live music, friends and family held speeches and the couple exchanged vows in two languages. Jakub is fluent in Dutch so it was easy for him. But Line doesn’t speak Czech so easily, but she prepared a very nice speech in Jakub’s native language too. The most emotional moment was the speech of Jakub’s sister. She made a lot of the guests cry (including me).
The rest of the wedding took place in Zofin Gardens. The weather was fantastic for a September day so the reception took place outside, close to the river. The perfect mood was completed by a band called The Brownies. The dinner was, also accompanied with several speeches and surprises prepared by the couple’s friends, including a funny movies about Line and Jakub. This is what I liked on this international wedding. To see how people are celebrating the love of the couple, and while every country has their own habits, everyone was able to blend them together.
Line and Jakub, thank you for allowing me to be part of your very special day.
