A Memorable Wedding at Het Rijk van de Keizer: Hannah and Joris’s Beautiful Celebration

When Hannah and Joris began searching for inspiration for their wedding, they stumbled upon photos from a previous wedding at the venue they had booked. To their delight, one of those weddings was one of my most published sets from my portfolio. This fortunate coincidence made it easy for Hannah and Joris to find me, even though we live nearly 900 kilometers apart.

The Perfect Venue: Het Rijk van de Keizer

The wedding took place at Het Rijk van de Keizer, my favorite venue to date. This location boasts a unique character, lush natural meadows, exquisite cuisine, and a variety of picturesque spots for stunning photographs. With all these features, every wedding at this venue can be unique and memorable. One constant, however, is the exceptional wedding commissioner, Josina. She is the best wedding commissioner I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I had the opportunity to collaborate with her for the third time in Amsterdam, and her entertaining style and personal touch in ceremonies always leave a lasting impression.

A Love Story Begins in Vietnam

Hannah and Joris first met in the heart of Hanoi, Vietnam, and from that day filled with romance, their love story blossomed. Their wedding reflected this romantic spirit, embracing a bohemian style adorned with the enchanting fragrance of lavender. They chose lavender as the theme flower for their special day because Hannah’s mother lives in Provence, a region famous for its beautiful lavender fields.

What impressed me the most was how Hannah and Joris meticulously planned their wedding themselves. Everything went so smoothly and precisely, it felt as if it had been scripted. I truly enjoyed every single moment of their big day, especially the heartfelt speeches, which were a highlight of the event.

An Unforgettable Celebration

The entertainment was provided by a fantastic band that played classic 90’s hits, getting everyone on the dance floor. The laid-back and fun atmosphere of the wedding made it unforgettable, and I will cherish the memories for a long time to come.
